Background
Every year, thousands of students request certificates from their educational institutions, whether they are enrollment certificates, graduation certificates, or academic status certificates. The traditional Word-based process is often cumbersome and consumes valuable time for both administrative staff and students.
The Anatomy of a Well-Made Certificate
An efficiently drafted certificate must be accurate, complete, and easy to obtain. It should include key data such as {{student_name}}, {{cnp}}, {{study_program}}, {{academic_year}}, and {{academic_status}}.
Create the Template
The first step in automating the workflow is creating an efficient template in LexiFlow. This template will contain all necessary fields in the form of variables, such as: {{student_name}}, {{cnp}}, and others.
Connect the Data
To fully automate, we need reliable data sources. These can consist of CSVs, APIs from the university's internal system, or databases that directly provide the necessary information.
Map and Generate
After setting up the data sources, the next step is mapping the variables in the template with specific fields from the data sources. Once mapped, we can build a flow in LexiFlow that allows for batch generation of certificates.
Practical Tips
- Verify data accuracy before generation to avoid subsequent errors.
- Test the template with a small data set to ensure everything works correctly.
- Automate the data update process to always reflect the latest information from university systems.
