Connecting a data source

The verified current workflow uses manually entered values, saved entries and CSV column mapping. This version has no controllers for configuring external data connectors or a separate mapping module. Export your Excel table as CSV and follow the steps below.

1. Create the template

In Word, put {{client_name}}, {{service}} and {{amount}} in the changing parts of a document. Save as DOCX. In LexiFlow, open Templates and upload it; check the detected variables before generation.

2. Export the data

Make a table with the same three columns and one client per row. Export comma-separated UTF-8 CSV. Quote any cell containing a comma. Check dates, currency values and identifiers with leading zeros in the exported file.

3. Map the columns

Open Documents → Bulk Generate (CSV). Select your template and preview the CSV. Map client_name to client_name, service to service and amount to amount. Unmapped fields can remain empty; inspect the mapping before submitting.

4. Select output

Choose DOCX to keep an editable Word result or PDF for a converted result. Give files a naming pattern such as Offer - {{client_name}}. Generate two rows first and inspect them in Documents.

Troubleshooting

If all values appear in one column, check the comma delimiter. If a field is blank, check the variable name and mapping. If generation fails, check the template and selected format. For PDF layout changes, compare the DOCX and PDF using a small test.
