Bulk document generation from Word templates and CSV

Stop copying the same client information into each document. Use one Word template and a table of data to create a separate document for every non-empty row.

Your input: a template and a table

Keep the approved wording and layout in a DOCX file. Mark changing values with {{variables}}. Export your spreadsheet as CSV with a header row; each following row holds the values for one document.

Preview, map, generate

Upload the template in Templates. In Documents โ†’ Bulk Generate (CSV), choose the template, upload your CSV and preview the columns. Map each column to a variable, choose the output format and set a naming pattern such as Offer - {{client_name}}.

Your output: individual files

LexiFlow creates document records and generates individual files. Review them in Documents and download the required results. DOCX output uses your uploaded template; PDF is produced through document conversion.

Repeat with the next table

Reuse the template and run another CSV batch when client data changes. This is useful for offers, onboarding letters, certificates and approved contract models. Flows serve a different need: grouping multiple templates into a workflow.

Check a small batch first

CSV uploads are limited to 5 MB and the first 500 rows. Use comma-separated UTF-8 data with a header row, quote values containing commas, and check dates and leading zeros before exporting. Empty rows are skipped. Test complex formatting and review every result before sending.

Frequently asked questions

Can I generate Word documents from Excel?

Export your Excel table as CSV, then map its columns to the variables in your Word template. Direct XLSX import is not part of this workflow.

Do I need a different template for every client?

No. Reuse one template and supply a different row for each client. Use a separate template when the document wording or structure changes.

Is a whole batch one document?

No. Each generated output is an individual document. See the quota guide for the current differences in usage tracking across generation routes.
